Dedicated to the principle of personal autonomy within a community based on mutual respect, trust and equity, Ifield Park strives to foster self-esteem, a valuable index of adjustment to ageing. The home was founded in 1954 by Harold and Millicent Goodwin. Conceived as a voluntary, charitable residential home, the only criteria for entry was need. Over the years the accommodation has improved and expanded to meet changing needs, but the original guiding principles remain unchanged. Ifield Park is set in three and a half acres of pleasant grounds at the edge of Crawley and provides a home for 72 residents in two residential and one nursing home. |
